Joshua Michael Moran

Born in San Antonio, TX 1992

Lives & works in Dallas, TX

A contemporary artist of 10 years working in Dallas, TX, Moran's art focuses strongly on human behavior specific how people react to social conditions, whether moderate or extreme. Moran opens windows detailing the decisions of the characters portrayed mysteriously. Ultimately, the aftermath is left to be determined; viewers are pulled in a direction to discover a human's mental state determined differently. To summarize Moran's work regarding his solo show "A Heroine's Journey" in 2020, in three words would be social, respectful, and maturity. The figurative paintings, figurative sculptures, monotype prints, and Fluxus audio work shown in group exhibitions at 500X Gallery, East Lubbock Art House, and the SP/N Gallery (Univ Texas at Dallas) since 2017. Moran continues to work in Dallas, adapting other mediums such as metalwork and performance art. Moran grows as an Art Handler and Installer after obtaining a Bachelor's in Visual and Performance Arts in December of 2020 at Univ. of Texas at Dallas.
